Traditionally at midnight the freestyle of Miss Bonbon took place, who now carries her title for one year.
The 23-year-old Viennese Stephanie Brieger made the eyes of the approximately ten-strong media and expert judges sparkle and was crowned by her predecessor. The master’s student of journalism and communication science was richly endowed and in addition was weighed out in 620 men’s cuts, which corresponds to 49 kilos. She is now donating the entire amount to the St. Anna Kinderspi-tal.
“I have been visiting the Bonbon Ball for many years, but this time I wanted to know. I was totally surprised that I actually won the election, and I’m really looking forward to my new, sweet task”, says Miss Bonbon 2020.
By the way, the proceeds of the sold-out raffle with 3,000 prizes were also donated, and the Center for Precision Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna is delighted about this.
The first BonbonBall took place in 1949, but was still called “Sweet Night”. Only in 1955 the name was changed to BonbonBall. In this year it came also to the first choice of the Miss Bonbon. The title went to Eva Jacob from Vienna, who was allowed to travel the world for a year as a representative of the sweet industry.
Miss’s weight in sweets has existed since 1961. A jury of celebrities selects Miss Bonbon from over 200 young women, whose weight is weighed in man’s cuts on a specially constructed scale.
